(Chicago.CityRegions.Com, July 28, 2012 ) Chicago, IL - Disney will be coming to Illinois on September and will be staging a series of Disney on Ice shows at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Disney’s offer for this year is the Treasure Trove, which began in 2011 and is nearing its conclusion this year as Disney prepares for its new show called Rockin’ Ever After.
For now, families in Illinois can head over to Rosemont’s Allstate Arena in September to enjoy Treasure Trove, which used to be called Disney on Ice: Disneyland Adventure before it was re-opened in 2011.
While other Disney on Ice performances usually focus on just a handful of Disney stories, Treasure Trove features a colossal cast and will include 13 stories, including Disney’s classics as well as the company’s newest offers.
The story will begin with Snow White and will end with Tangled.
Disney on Ice: Treasure Trove will have a total of nine shows in the Allstate Arena for September. The series will be concluded by a Spanish version of the show.
After Treasure Trove, Disney on Ice will begin Rockin’ Ever After, which will feature Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, and the company’s latest hit Brave.
Aside from Disney on Ice, Allstate Arena tickets for various other attractions lined up by the venue are now available. The upcoming shows include a collaboration among Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, and Everclear, another collaboration between Deftones and System of a Down, the Gigantes Tour, and various matches between Chicago Sky and its contenders. Justin Bieber shows are also expected come October.
In another part of Illinois, over at Chicago, the United Center will host shows like How to Train Your Dragon and a series of concerts from Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez, Coldplay, Madonna, and Peter Gabriel. Preseason showdowns between the Chicago Blackhawks and their main rivals like the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers are also on the menu and are expected to raise the demand for United Center tickets.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Theatre is also lining up its attractions for the rest of the year, with big names like Il Volo, Buddy Guy & Jonny Lang, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Blondie & Devo, Radiolab, Wanda Sykes, and Norah Jones all set to perform at the popular venue in Chicago. Chicago Theatre tickets are now on sale for early buyers.
